Coaching stock in the form of 35cm non-corridor, tin printed coaches was produced to accompany the E/1 and E/2 locos. These were tinprinted in England by a West Country printer with connections to the pre-war production of Hornby tin printed stock. All the C/1 coaches, as they are known, have punched out windows and opaque glazing. The cast bogies include wheels that run on virtually all coarse scale track including Lionel. Several British and French liveries were produced to match the locos.

Some C/1 coaches were available with clerestory roofs. None of the coaches came with interiors although Ace did make add-on kits for interior coach lighting and seating, so the product can be enhanced with the addition of these accessories.

Made to go with the original Hornby 'O' gauge 'Princess Elizabeth', but looking good in any train, came the C/2 special, five-coach set of gauge 'O' LMS Mainline coaches. Only 300 sets have been produced. They include all British tinprinting and have traditional style, silvered windows. They have a different roof pattern to the C/1 and are 36 cm in length.

The five coach set consists of; a 1st class; a 1st/3rd class; a 3rd class; a restaurant car and a 3rd/brake.

Again, they have an interchangeable coupling system.

The set is named 'The Merseyside Express - London (Euston) and Liverpool (Lime Street)'. This set is long sold out and is only available through the collector market.

We currently have available one set of LMS coaches from this C/1 range.

Ace then went on to produce some very nice three-car electric multiple units (EMUs). These sets are also sold out now.

To accompany the A4 Ace has produced some wonderful Gresley Bow Ended Teak coaches in Boxed Sets of three (Full 1st, Full 3rd, 3rd Brake). These have arrived and the simulation of wood on tin is excellent! Our first sets include tinplate coach headboards titled 'Flying Scotsman'.

As well as the sets, two additional single coaches have been produced. Buffet Car No. 650 (shown here) and 1st/3rd Composite No. 63291

The C/5 coach range consists of BR Mk l coaches in 'blood and custard', or Carmine and Cream livery. These coaches will look very good with the Princess and Royal Scot locos being produced by Bassett Lowke (which we can also obtain for you by special order). Again they come in boxed sets of three coaches and also there are single boxed coaches available. Check with us for pricing on these.

The single coaches in the C/5 range are Restaurant Car No. 302 (shown here) and a Full Brake, No. 80675

To further complement the A4 loco and extend the possibilities of a longer train, C/6 is a two-car, articulated sleeper car set, again in the bow-ended Gresley coach style. Coaches are No. 1204 and 1205. This set is also currently available.
