Used Trains:
We maintain an ever changing inventory of used and obsolete trains. For us, obsolete models are those which are no longer in production but have been kept in an unrun condition and are therefore as new, in their box. Any model which has been run, other than for test purposes, or is unboxed, is considered a used or pre-owned model.
We have many different makes of models passing through our hands including, but certainly not limited to: Hornby, Tri-ang, Lima, Wrenn, Mainline, Airfix, Replica, Dapol, Minitrix, Grafar, Peco, GMR, Kitmaster, etc.
We try to keep this used list up to date. All used and obsolete models are given a condition guide of excellent, very good, good, or fair and all will be boxed unless noted. (Note: These are nearly all mass produced models and some have blemishes they have carried since they left the factory).
We do buy single models, entire collections and anything in between. We will provide you with a pricing offer with no obligation on your part. We believe we are fair and competitive.
We also provide valuations on British models both for insurance purposes and for estate valuations but as these requests sometimes involve a lot of work on our part, we charge out our time at $20/hr..
We can also take your collection on consignment for disposal at the best prices. We attend about six train shows a year in Canada as well as maintaining a list of clients wants. Of course your consigned items can also appear on this website and in our retail store, which is open seven days a week.
