Dapol Overview:
We are very pleased to add the Dapol range of railway models to our store and website this year.
The Dapol manufacturing facility is in Wrexham, Wales with Dapol being just about the last ready-to-run manufacturer of British outline model trains. Dapol products have received very good reviews from the media, trade and public.
There is a very good selection of freight wagons in OO scale, as well as a range of plastic kits including buildings and locomotives. Several of these plastic kits will be recognized by some of you as they were once in the Airfix and Kitmaster ranges back in the 1960's.
Dapol is taking a leading position in N-scale models with a range of locomotives which includes the latest motive power on Britain's railways, notably the Class 66 produced in EWS and GBRf liveries as well as some very useful steam era models for N-scale modelers such as the GWR 45XX and the Southern M7 tank locos. Between these two ends of the railway timeline is the Class 73 which first ran in BR Green but has seen service in Inter-City, Network SouthEast and other liveries.
There are also some superb Collett coaches available and a good range of freight wagons including a very nice 6-wheel milk tank wagon.
